DESCRIPTION:Service Rifle Family Smallbore Course – Thursday Evening Sessions – January thru March 2026 \nThe Service Rifle Smallbore Course teaches children ages 10 and up and their Parents how to compete in CMP and NRA Highpower Competition. The course covers safety\, equipment\, positions\, and other areas to improve focus and concentration. The course should produce a precision rifleman\, responsible firearm owner\, and someone ready to participate in rifle competition.  The course is 12 weeks\, every Thursday night at the Ben Avery Smallbore Range.  Two weeks of classroom and 10 weeks of live fire on the range with Service Rifle Instructors and Range Safety Officers. SUMMARY:ASRPA Arizona Defense Match
DESCRIPTION:The ASRPA Arizona Defense Match (ADM) State Championship\n  \nSunday\, September 28th\, 2025\nJoin us for one of the most FUN rifle matches in the U.S….the Arizona Defense Match State Championship. This match takes your ability to hit an x ring and adds a lot of extra things to think about. Coming prepared with your loaded magazine\, sighted rifles\, water\, snacks and other things in your back pack (which you shoot from). We guarantee a lot of smiles and agreement that everyone is equally disadvantaged.\nCourse of Fire: The ADM will be a 60 shot match with NO SIGHT IN SHOTS.  All strings will be fired in the prone position using the required functional backpack rest. The match ranges will be 300 to 100 yards. 300 yards = 10 shots x 2  and 200 yards = 10 shots x 2 100 yards = x 2 shots.\nAny rifle up to and including .30 caliber may be used however scoped semi‐auto rifles will be the preferred and advantaged.  Every rifle will be equipped with a functional sling to carry the rifle with muzzle in up or down position during the match.\nA functional and useable backpack for all equipment other than rifle.\n*In firing position\, all shooters will use a rifle rest (no bipods or similar devices will be used) which will consist of their usable backpack and only one backpack per shooter. The stock of the rifle will be in contact with the rest during firing.\n*Water\, mats\, personal items\, etc.\, will also be stowed in the backpack (mats may be tied to backpack for transport).\n*Rifles and packs will be carried throughout the range transitions. No transportation will be used. If any items are dropped in transit\, they must remain and NO competitor will stop or turn away from the advancement on their target.\n*All loaded magazines will be kept in the shooters backpack until in the firing position (10 rounds per magazine).\nPhysically challenged competitors can make arrangements for transportation.\nUpon registration you will receive confirmation and your up to date ADM Manual.\nRegister on line at: ASRPA Arizona Defense Match
