SUMMARY:ASRPA Arizona Defense Match
DESCRIPTION:The ASRPA Arizona Defense Match (ADM) State Championship\n  \nSunday\, September 28th\, 2025\nJoin us for one of the most FUN rifle matches in the U.S….the Arizona Defense Match State Championship. This match takes your ability to hit an x ring and adds a lot of extra things to think about. Coming prepared with your loaded magazine\, sighted rifles\, water\, snacks and other things in your back pack (which you shoot from). We guarantee a lot of smiles and agreement that everyone is equally disadvantaged.\nCourse of Fire: The ADM will be a 60 shot match with NO SIGHT IN SHOTS.  All strings will be fired in the prone position using the required functional backpack rest. The match ranges will be 300 to 100 yards. 300 yards = 10 shots x 2  and 200 yards = 10 shots x 2 100 yards = x 2 shots.\nAny rifle up to and including .30 caliber may be used however scoped semi‐auto rifles will be the preferred and advantaged.  Every rifle will be equipped with a functional sling to carry the rifle with muzzle in up or down position during the match.\nA functional and useable backpack for all equipment other than rifle.\n*In firing position\, all shooters will use a rifle rest (no bipods or similar devices will be used) which will consist of their usable backpack and only one backpack per shooter. The stock of the rifle will be in contact with the rest during firing.\n*Water\, mats\, personal items\, etc.\, will also be stowed in the backpack (mats may be tied to backpack for transport).\n*Rifles and packs will be carried throughout the range transitions. No transportation will be used. If any items are dropped in transit\, they must remain and NO competitor will stop or turn away from the advancement on their target.\n*All loaded magazines will be kept in the shooters backpack until in the firing position (10 rounds per magazine).\nPhysically challenged competitors can make arrangements for transportation.\nUpon registration you will receive confirmation and your up to date ADM Manual.\nRegister on line at: ASRPA Arizona Defense Match

DESCRIPTION:Junior Smallbore Rifle Program\nProgram Overview\nThe Junior Smallbore Rifle Program held at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility is operated under the\ndirection of the Arizona State Rifle & Pistol association (ASRPA).\nThe program follows the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program\n• Participants ages 8 – 21 years of age work at their own pace to earn classification levels from Pro-Marksman through Marksman\, Marksman First Class\, Sharpshooter\, 9 Sharpshooter levels and then Expert\n• Participants desiring to continue to advance their rifle-shooting skills may participate in the Distinguishing Expert program.\nThe program offers shooting year-round over 3 sessions/seasons:\n• Fall/Winter\, Spring\, (Off June July and August)\n• Shooting is offered on most Thursdays\n• Range times are 6pm – 8:30pm.\nThe program is run by Rick Harrach (Head Coach) and volunteer NRA-certified Range Safety Officers (RSO) and Instructors.\nParticipation in the program requires completion and submission of registration and waiver forms\, as well as payment for the season\nFor more information contact Rick Harrach at: rcharrach@outlook.com

The course will review safety rules\, nomenclature\, and is designed to TThelp students have a clear understanding on how a handgun works. The course focuses on safe gun handling\, gun manipulation\, clearing malfunctions and learning to draw from holster with proficiency.  Range requires 100 rounds of ammo supplied by student. DESCRIPTION:2025 Matt Acker Memorial Match \nSponsored by:  	Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association. \nThis match is the annual Arizona State junior high power championships.\nIt is also open to adult competitors .\nThe match is held in memory of a former junior killed in a motorcycle accident in 2001 while serving in the USAF. \nTournament Date-Time:	SATURDAY\, May 10\, 2025. Pit set-up at 6:45 AM. Squadding starts at 7:05 AM. Pits will be sealed at 7:15 AM. The match will start at 7:30 AM. \nRange Facility:  Ben Avery Shooting Facility\, 4044 W. Black Canyon Blvd.\, Phoenix \nEligibility:  	Any HP shooter over the age of 21. \nFor ASRPA Membership register HERE \nJunior entry fee: FREE for ASRPA members\nAdult entry fee $25. \nEligibility:  	Any HP shooter over the age of 21. \nEntry Fee:  	$25.00 (includes electronic target fee).
