ARIZONA STATE HIGH POWER RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND EIC “LEG MATCH

Date:  January 9-11, 2025

RANGE :The Ben Avery  Shooting Facility, 25 mi. North of Phoenix, AZ – ½ mile West of I-17 on the Carefree Hwy (SR74). (Exit 223).

FACILITIES: A Camping area, with water & toilet facilities, is available, during the matches, for competitors only. Competitors are responsible to provide their own food and water.

RULES: Current CMP High Power Rifle Rules shall apply.

ELIGIBILITY: All competitors must be Current members of the ASRPA. (1 Year Membership $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for juniors).  All competitors must show their membership card at the stat office when they are obtaining their squadding or pay the 5.00 match membership fee.

If a competitor does not wish to join the ASRPA he/she may pay a $5.00 match membership fee. All competitors must show their membership card at the stat office when they are obtaining their squadding or pay the 5.00 match membership fee.

ENTRIES CLOSE: 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Entries after this time are considered late entries and may be accepted to fill vacancies on existing relays only. An additional $20.00 will be charged for late entries.

ENTRY LIMITS: 180 Individual entries.

REGISTRATION FEES:

All individual matches – Friday & Saturday – Adults $75.00
Friday only (3 x 600) – Adults $45.00
Saturday only (80 shot XC) – Adults $45.00
Sunday only (“leg match”) – $30.00

ADVANCE ENTRIES ARE REQUIRED: All entries must be paid in advance.

CHALLENGE FEE: $3.00 The challenge fee must be paid at the time the challenge is requested.

PRACTICE FIRING: The match fees do not include Range fees for individuals practicing before the match.

TARGETS: SR at 200 yards., SR-3 at 300 yds., MR-1 at 600 yds.

TARGET SERVICE: All firing will be on Shot marker electronic targets. Competitors are encouraged to provide their own tablets or phones.

EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (ECI): Approved CMP empty chamber indicator is required to be
used at all times except during the preparation period and firing of your relay. Those not having an ECI may purchase one at the stat. office for $1.00 each.

SQUADDING: All matches will be squadded. Squadding tickets for individual matches will be issued at the Stat. Office starting at approx. 7:30 AM on Friday 9 January, Saturday 10 January, and Sunday11 January. A competitor who fails to obtain his squadding ticket by 8:30 AM will only be squadded to fill up vacancies.

SCORING: Competitors will score. Any competitor failing to perform his scoring duties may be disqualified.
CLASSIFICATION: CMP High Power Classification will be used. Rule 4.10.6 “Current Classification” may be used. Those unclassified or without proof of classification, will be required to compete in the Master class. Please indicate classification on the registration & entry form.

 DIVISION BY RIFLE: Match #1, #2, #3- Any Rifle (Division A), Palma Rifle (Division P), Service Rifle (Division S), F-Open (Division O), F-TR (Division T), Scope Only (Division Z) Matches #4,#5,#6,#7,#8 – Service Rifle (Division S), and NRA Match Rifle (Division M).

CATEGORIES: Service, (Includes Reserve, and National Guard), Civilian Service Rifle and Match Rifle.

AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place Sling, F-open & F-TR on FRIDAY. Awards will be presented on SATURDAY to Match Winner, High Junior, High Woman, High Senior and High Police/Military. SUNDAY awards will be for Match Winner, CMP Achievement Pins, and Grand Aggregate from Matches 1 through 8.

PERIOD: The challenge period ends ½ hour after the posting of the match results.

RESULTS BULLETINS: Results bulletins will only be mailed to those people requesting them. The match
results will be posted on the ASRPA web site.

MATCH SCHEDULE

FRIDAY – January 9, 2026, 9:00 AM
MATCH 1: 600 yds. slow fire prone, any sights, unlimited sighters & 20 shots for record, 22 minutes. MR-1 or F Class target.
MATCH 2: 600 yds. slow fire prone, any sights, two sighters & 20 shots for record, 22 minutes. MR-1 or F Class target.
MATCH 3: 600 yds. slow fire prone, any sights, two sighters & 20 shots for record, 22 minutes. MR-1 or F Class target.

SATURDAY –  January 10, 2026, 9:00 AM
MATCH 4: 200 yds. slow fire standing, 2 sighters, 20 shots for record, 22 minutes.
MATCH 5: 200 yds. rapid fire sitting, 2 sighters & 2 ten-shot strings, rapid fire, sitting or kneeling, 60 seconds per string.
MATCH 6: 300 yds. rapid fire prone, 2 sighters & 2 ten-shot strings, rapid fire, prone, 70 seconds per string. MATCH 7: 600 yds. slow fire prone, 2 sighters & 20 shots for record, 22 minutes.
MATCH 9: THE ARIZONA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: Total score of Matches 1 through 8.

SUNDAY – January 11, 2026, 9:00 AM
MATCH 8: (CMP) Service Rifle EIC “LEG” Match.
