BPCR and Vintage Sniper Match
November 16 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
$15BPCR and Vintage Sniper Matches
Match rules:
BPCR: The match will follow NRA rules for shooting this format. It is a 40-target match. We shoot a single string with timers set at 12:30. The fire command occurs at 12:00 with unlimited sighters and 10 shots for score at each distance. An overview of this shooting discipline may be found on the ASRPA website under the BPCR division.
Vintage sniper: The match will follow CMP rules for applicable rifles and ammunition. Calibers must be 6MM or greater. No armor piercing, tracer or non-lead ammunition is allowed. The match is shot concurrently with the BPCR match. It is a 40-target match. We shoot a single string with timers set at 12:30. The fire command occurs at 12:00 with unlimited sighters and 10 shots for score at each distance.
The range will be open prior to the match start, light permitting, using BA swingers that have been installed. At 0830, all participants are required to go down range to set targets and swingers. If you are physically not able to do so, please arrange for your shooting partner to assist you. We will begin the match at 0900. We typically shoot two or three relays. With two relays, if we have a third shooter in a team, we will arrange for a pared firing arrangement, assigning additional targets, if possible, to the team and waiving the time requirement, provided the overage is not excessive. After the match all shooters will be required to go down range to knock down all targets and remove the swingers from their stands.
Match Fees: The fee for ASRPA members is $15.00 per participant. Most of this charge goes back to BASF for use of the range. The balance of the fee goes to ASRPA for insurance costs as well as our cost for paint, score cards, etc. If you are not an ASRPA member, then the fee will be $20.00 because I have to submit $5.00/shooter to ASRPA for non-member participation, per their rules. ASRPA provides the liability insurance for which BA would not allow us to conduct a match without that coverage.
